A simple yet profound understanding of the filter cartridge dust collector

DATE:2018-05-09
The filter cartridge dust collector mainly consists of three parts: the casing, filter cartridge, and cleaning system casing, which are the outer shell of the entire dust collector.

1、 The tips for choosing a filter cartridge dust collector are in our selection of filter cartridge dust collectors; When you don't know how to choose a suitable dust collector, let's teach you the selection method of filter cartridge dust collector as follows: 1. Check the working environment humidity, etc. If the humidity is too high, it is easy for dust to absorb moisture, so we need to use filter materials with properties. Of course, the concentration of dust is also something we need to pay attention to. If the dust concentration in the workshop is low, the filtration speed of the filter cartridge dust collector should also be slower. If the dust contains oil, we need to use a filter material with properties. If it is dust that affects the human body, we need to use a filter material with a film covering effect, which has high filtration accuracy and is relatively easy to clean. 2. We need to first check whether the dust is flammable. If it is flammable dust, then the dust removal filter cartridge should use flame-retardant filter materials to avoid the danger of equipment causing combustion. Therefore, when choosing a filter cartridge dust collector, we need to consider the dust characteristics of the working conditions, production environment, and other aspects. Only by choosing a suitable filter cartridge dust collector can we filter the dust in the workshop and improve its production efficiency. 2、 The basic content of a filter cartridge dust collector is introduced. The filter cartridge dust collector mainly consists of three parts: the casing, the filter cartridge, and the dust cleaning system casing, which are the outer shell of the entire dust collector. Including the air box and ash hopper, the air box mainly provides the required dust removal space, which is conducive to the reasonable distribution of the flow field. The ash hopper collects the filtered material (the filter cartridge is composed of an outer layer, an inner layer, and a middle layer. The inner and outer layers are both metal mesh (or hard plastic mesh) and the middle is a pleated filter material. The characteristic of filter media used in filter cartridges is to adhere a layer of sub micron ultra-thin fibers to general filter media. The fibers on this adhesion layer are arranged very tightly, and the gaps are greatly increased due to the use of dense folding, which greatly increases the filtering area. The filtering area is a prominent feature of the filter cartridge; The dust cleaning system mainly includes spray pipes, pulse valves, air bags, etc. When the surface area of the filter cartridge reaches the thickness of ash, it is necessary to clean the ash. The dusty gas flows through the filter cartridge for filtration and is then discharged. When the resistance of the dust collector reaches the set pressure difference or time value, the corresponding solenoid valve is controlled by the pressure difference control instrument or time control instrument to open the pulse valve in the closed state. Compressed air is directly sprayed into the center of the filter cartridge for pulse cleaning. The principle of pulse cleaning is that the dusty gas flow enters the dust collector box from the inlet. Generally speaking, the gas enters from the outside of the filter cartridge. The larger particles of dust settle directly into the ash hopper without passing through the filter cartridge due to gravity, or collide with the side wall of the box due to inertial force and settle down along the side wall. Small particles of dust pass through the cylinder with the airflow, and the dust particles in the gas are filtered on the surface of the filter material. Clean gas is discharged from the outlet. The dust accumulates more and more on the surface of the filter cartridge, and the resistance also increases. When it reaches the set value or set time, the pulse valve opens, and the compressed gas will blow towards the center of the filter cartridge. At the same time, the induced air will also enhance the dust cleaning effect. The instantaneous high-pressure gas will blow off the dust on the surface of the filter cartridge, and the dust will be cleaned by pulse cleaning according to the set sequence, so that the system can resume low resistance operation. 3、 What determines the resistance of the filter cartridge dust collector itself? The resistance of the filter cartridge dust collector largely depends on the filtering wind speed, and the resistance of the dust collector structure, cleaning filter bag, and dust layer all increase with the increase of the filtering wind speed. No matter what type of filter material is used in a filter cartridge dust collector, its net filtration wind speed cannot exceed 1m/min. For fine dust layers, due to the dense overlap of dust particles, the filtration wind speed needs to be low, otherwise the operating resistance of the dust collector will increase. Under the same processing air volume conditions, the upward velocity of the airflow in the filter cartridge dust collector is high, indicating that the spacing between the filter cartridges in the filter cartridge chamber is small, the filter cartridge of the filter cartridge dust collector is arranged compactly, and the external dimensions of the dust collector are small. However, if the upward velocity of the airflow is too high, the operating resistance of the dust collector will also increase accordingly. Normally, controlling the upward velocity of the airflow at around 1m/s can enhance the performance of the dust collector. When designing a filter cartridge dust collector, even if the theoretical filtering wind speed and other wind speeds are reasonable, if the air flow distribution measures are not in place, the actual processing air volume of each filter chamber will vary; Even within a single chamber, if the airflow distribution measures are not in place, the actual filtration speed of each filter element will be different. Therefore, a gas guide plate and a uniform air plate are required at the inlet of the dust collector. The opening of the inlet branch valve needs to be adjusted to balance the air volume of each filter chamber. A uniform air plate needs to be installed in the ash hopper to distribute the air volume of individual filter chambers.
