Electrostatic precipitator is an energy-saving flue gas purification equipment that has the advantages of collecting dust, processing large amounts of flue gas, long service life, and low maintenance costs. It is widely used in industries such as thermal power, metallurgy, papermaking, building materials, and chemical engineering. Electrostatic precipitators can handle smoke containing corrosive substances, but are not suitable for handling flammable and explosive smoke. Its working principle is that when dusty flue gas passes through a high-voltage electric field, the dust adsorbs electrons or ions and becomes charged. The charged dust particles move towards the opposite electrode under the action of the electric field force and adsorb on the opposite electrode. Through vibration and other methods, the dust on the electrode falls into the dust collector.

Practice has proven that the higher the electric field force, the better the effectiveness of the electrostatic precipitator, and the better the effect of capturing dust with negative charges.

Due to the fact that electrostatic precipitators are high-voltage equipment and personal safety is particularly important, special attention should be paid to the following points during operation:

(1) After the equipment is put into operation, the distance to be maintained at high-voltage parts such as rectifier transformers;

(2) All electric field chambers are classified as high-voltage hazardous areas, and personnel are not allowed to enter during operation. All access doors are interlocked.

(3) All control screens, wiring racks, access doors, etc. in the control room are strictly prohibited from being operated or approached by non operators.

(4) An electrostatic precipitator is a high-altitude operating equipment that provides a secure pathway for personnel to climb up and down stairs, platforms, and railings. It is not allowed to accumulate water, snow, or debris in the aisle.

(5) When conducting high-altitude maintenance on the shell or climbing in the electric field to inspect and measure the anode and cathode components, vibration components, distribution plates, etc., tie straps and wear hats.

(6) Electrostatic precipitator is a hazardous equipment with high temperature, negative pressure and high dust. During operation, it is not allowed to touch high-temperature parts with hands or human body. During inspection, stop the vehicle and open the inlet door to cool down to below 40 ℃ before entering.
