There are many methods for selecting and calculating industrial dust removal fans. Generally speaking, before calculation, the basic process parameters of the flue gas should be known, such as the flow rate, properties, concentration of the dusty gas, as well as the dispersion, wettability, viscosity, etc. of the dust. After knowing these parameters, select the type and model of dust removal equipment by calculating the filtration wind speed, filtration area, filter material, and equipment resistance.

When selecting, the fan should have a reserve of 10 ^~15 ^ air volume and a reserve of 15 ^ air pressure. Usually, one fan is selected for a production system. If the performance of the fan is limited and the air volume and pressure of one fan cannot meet the requirements, measures such as fan series or parallel connection are taken. It is better to choose two identical fans. For a series connected system, the wind pressure of the two fans is added together while keeping the air volume constant. The wind pressure at the operating point increases, but not exponentially; Parallel system, with constant wind pressure, the air volume of two fans is added together (the air volume at the operating point is not doubled) to select and match. When calculating the volume of the industrial dust removal fan, we first need to measure the actual gas volume under working conditions, that is, the actual gas volume passing through the industrial dust removal equipment, and also consider the air leakage of the dust collector itself. These data should be determined based on the actual operating experience or testing data of existing factories. If there is a lack of data, it can be calculated by adding the amount of air mixed into the gas collection hood (about 20% to 40%) based on the amount of gas generated during the production process.

2. Then, the size of the filtering wind speed should be considered, which depends on the characteristics of the dusty gas, the type of fabric, and the properties of the dust. Generally, it is selected based on the recommended data of the dust removal equipment sample and the user's practical experience. The filtration wind speed of most industrial dust removal equipment is between 0.6-13/m, the filtration wind speed of pulse bag dust collectors is around 1.2-2m/s, and the filtration wind speed of fiberglass bag dust collectors is about 0.5-0.8m/s.

When selecting industrial dust removal fans, it is advisable to avoid using axial flow fans in parallel or series operation. When unavoidable, axial flow fans of the same model and energy should be selected for joint operation. When using series connection, the pipeline connection between the stage axial flow fan and the stage axial flow fan should be appropriate.
